The Fieldstone Group of Cos.ended 2000 by setting a sales record for the fifth straight year.
The two homebuilding units, Fieldstone Communities and Fieldstone Homes Utah, sold 666 homes last year for a volume of $191.3 million. In 1999, the Newport Beach-based company sold 609 homes for revenues of $158.4 million.
Frank Foster, president and chief executive officer of the homebuilding units, said the record was due to activity over the last two quarters of the year. From July through December, the company sold nearly 450 homes. And in Southern California, including San Diego County, the company had a 17 percent gain in homes sold and a 28 percent jump in total revenues.
The best-selling neighborhood was Horizons at master-planned Sunbow in Chula Vista with 104 homes priced from the $250,000s for homes up to 2,872 square feet.
Fieldstone also announced it is releasing nine homes as the second phase at its Homestead at 4S Ranch west of Rancho Bernardo. Three floor plans range from 2,860 to 3,300 square feet with three to six bedrooms. Prices start in the upper $400,000s.
Magellan reports 20 sales at its Morada condominium neighborhood within two weeks of the release of 46 units as the sixth phase. The phase was originally announced at 38 units. The units range from 714 to 1,275 square feet with one and two bedrooms. Prices range from $143,690 to $230,690. Morada is in master-planned Bernardo Vista del Lago in Rancho Bernardo.
Concordia Communities LLC reports 11 homes remain for sale at its 25-home Pacific View Estates in the old Carlsbad village. Four two-story floor plans range from 2,295 to 3,639 square feet with three to five bedrooms. Prices range from the mid-$400,000s to the high $500,000s for most units, with some from the $600,000s to the $700,000s.
Pacific Bay Homes has released five homes as phase 5B at its Old Creek neighborhood in master-planned Rolling Hills Ranch in Chula Vista. Prices start in the low $300,000s. Five one- and two-story floor plans range from 1,908 to 2,890 square feet with three to five bedrooms.
William Lyon Homes has sold the three models for a sellout of its 74-home Saratoga Trails neighborhood in Otay Mesa in Chula Vista. The homebuilder reports its 83-home Mendocino neighborhood at Otay Ranch is in its final release. Five Mendocino floor plans range from 1,403 to 1,649 square feet with three to four bedrooms priced from $208,900 to $235,900.
Saratoga Trails homes ranged from 2,246 to 2,542 square feet with three to six bedrooms from the mid- to high $200,000s.
Barratt America nreports a sales rate of more than six homes a month at its Rembrandt neighborhood in Temecula Valley, and has launched its next-to-last phase 16. Floor plans range from 1,715 to 2,529 square feet on one and two levels with three and four bedrooms. Prices begin in the $190,000s.
William Lyon Homes reports more than 80 homes sold in just more than a year after opening at Vail Creek in Vail Ranch in Temecula. Sales have passed the halfway point. Two-story floor plans range from 1,867 to 2,316 square feet and five homes available are priced from $182,900 to $213,900.
Barratt American has release nine homes as the fourth phase of its Olive Hill Ranch in Murrieta. Prices range from the $430,000s to the $530,000s. Twenty-five sales have taken the 44-home enclave have passed the halfway point. One- and two-level floor plans range from 3,175 to 3,944 square feet with three to six bedrooms.
Barratt American reports the release of the eighth and ninth phases at its Sundance in Rosamond. Of 87 homes planned, 35 have been sold. Floor plans range from 1,586 to 2,529 square feet with three and four bedrooms. Prices begin in the $120,000s.
