Parkway Business Centre is revitalized

Parkway Business Centre is the product of a partnership between the city of Poway and the McMillin Commercial development team. In 1996, McMillin began working with the previous landowner of Parkway Business Centre, the city of Poway and the Poway Redevelopment Agency, to find a solution to revitalize the business park.

Under the direction of Michael Binkle, McMillin formed a venture with Hillwood Development and acquired the property. The result has been an upgrade in the type and size of businesses that have chosen to locate in Poway.

Since McMillin acquired the Park in 1997, it has brought some of San Diego's finest companies to the area, including:Geico's western regional headquarters, First American/CREDCO, Applied Power - APW, Resmed Inc.'s (NYSE: RMD) U.S. headquarters, Mitchell Repair (owned by Snap-On Tools), Xcellsis (owned by Daimler-Chrysler (NYSE: DAJ), Ford (NYSE: F), Ballard), Gateway (NYSE: GTW) Computers' World Headquarters, Remec Inc. (Nasdaq: REMC), ACDS and Genrad. These companies occupy more than 1 million square feet of space.

Parkway Business Centre has become one of the finest corporate addresses in San Diego. McMillin Commercial is continuing to construct high quality, speculative buildings to attract additional high quality tenants to Poway. Parkway's latest spec building, Parkway Centre Six, is scheduled for completion in April 2002.
