Young Influential Tony Russell of JLL is putting his commercial real estate know-how to work for one of San Diego’s iconic office campuses, Sorrento Towers. Tony and his team were hired by McCarthy Cook and Prudential Real Estate Investors to develop and implement a new plan to reinvigorate the marketing of the 560,000-square-foot, Class A office campus that serves as the “gateway” to San Diego’s technology hub, Sorrento Mesa.
Their plan includes updating the common areas with new, modern finishes and amenities, providing more creatively styled spec suites, revamping the exterior landscape and creating new outdoor lounge spaces for tenants to use, giving the project more of the hospitality-like amenities today’s Class A tenants want.

Tony and his team are working closely with the architect and ownership team of the project to come up with a design that will attract tenants seeking the finest amenities and corporate image. As a result, they are in discussions with existing tenants to renew and/or expand, and are in negotiations with several new tenants for space within Sorrento Towers.
The project’s glass façade and sought-after location fronting Interstate 805 provide tenants with a sophisticated image and an ideal location. Sorrento Towers’ campus environment offers tenants unparalleled amenities, which include a fully equipped fitness center with shower and locker facilities, on-site management, a conference facility and covered parking. The conference facility includes a boardroom set up for 16 people, a meeting room that can accommodate up to 49 people and a kitchen area. Sorrento Towers is adjacent to Sorrento Court, a full-service retail center. Sorrento Court’s tenants include Starbucks, Staples, Jamba Juice, Quizno’s, McDonald’s and many other restaurants housed inside of the property’s food court.
