Double rebates for LED lighting

Leveraging massive buying power of trade associations

Related Special Reports

Welcome to the LED TAP network trade association procurement.

·Governments, major companies and property management organizations often negotiate favorable pricing for products and services. However, a national aggregation of trade associations represents buying power multiple times the size of any other entity.

·Most buildings want LED’s energy savings and long life, but not the high cost. This program eliminates that impediment. The massive buying power of trade associations has never been effectively leveraged to secure the greatest possible economic advantages for members -- until now.

·Energy Innovation Group has expertise in the development, marketing and operation of energy efficiency and utility incentive programs for trade associations, property management companies, utilities and government, dating back to 1976.

·The present focus of the LED TAP network is to secure LED lamps with special arrangements with LED manufacturers, and to use utility incentives to supply LEDs to program participants at no cost, or at a low cost, to produce average 90-day paybacks.

·TAP has built its highly effective model with the Building Owners and Management Association and the California Hotel and Lodging Association. The next step is to add a broader range of trade associations to include restaurant, retailers, manufacturers, warehousing, multifamily, entertainment and others.

·TAP expects to quickly become a multimillion count lamp purchaser per year, which represents annual revenue per million LEDs approximated at $15 million to $20 million.

The LED opportunity

·Replace incandescent and halogen A19, MR16, PAR, BR, candelabra and compact fluorescents with LEDs .

·Extra rebates either cover 100 percent of the cost or result in very low cost with typical 90-day payback.

·Energy savings up to 90 percent significantly reduces total energy cost, including reducing HVAC demand.

·Up to 50,000-hour rated life greatly reduces cost and demand on staff to replace burned out light bulbs.

For customers to participate

·We audit the property and provide samples, followed by an Opportunity Report.

·Upon customer approval, we prepare utility rebate application and coordinate utility inspection.

·Upon utility approval, we provide LEDs for installation.
