The San Diego Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), in partnership with BOMI International, will host a budgeting and accounting course June 26 to 28. The three-day class will cover the essentials to creating building and facilities’ budgets and will give students the opportunity to apply concepts within the real property and facilities context. Instructor Joe Maldonado will lead the course.
“BOMI’s budgeting and accounting course is one of six educational offerings sponsored by BOMA San Diego this year,” said Audrey Doherty, executive director of BOMA San Diego. “One of the main goals of our organization is to provide quality CRE education for our members and anyone interested in a career in the industry. The skills and contacts earned through these programs are invaluable.”
Key topics of the course will include revenue and expenditure cycles, cash basis income and financial statements, annual reports, lease abstracts, and income and expense budgeting. Valuable exercises pertaining to computing productivity ratios, depreciation, ending cash balances and more will be featured. The course is applicable to the RPA designation and PMFP and PAC certificates. To enroll in the course, visit bomasd.org or call (619) 243-1817.
BOMI International was founded in 1970 as a nonprofit, independent educational institute to fulfill the need for a higher level of training and expertise in the property and facility management profession. Over the years, BOMI has become the trusted source for education in the property and facility industries. Many employers require BOMI credentials for new employees and, in many cases, make it mandatory for job promotions.
