Bahia Resort Hotel

Related Special Reports

The Bahia Resort Hotel provides a unique and affordable venue for corporate holiday events for businesses from throughout San Diego County. The beach is the place to be and this beloved resort is able to accommodate companies small and large, from groups of 10 in the La Jolla Room to 1,200 in the Mission Bay Ballroom. The Mission Bay Ballroom sits atop the Bahia’s tower, providing unmatched views of the twinkling lights on the bay and the city skyline.

Perhaps what makes the Bahia most unique for company parties is its Victorian era sternwheelers, the William D. Evans and the Bahia Belle, which offer the only corporate holiday party experience on the water of Mission Bay.

The William D. Evans, which can host up to 450 guests, features a 12-ton paddlewheel at its stern, an exquisite 42x18 skylight made of 50,000 pieces of stained glass, and hand-carved mahogany doors and walls with etched-glass windows. The Belle can hold up to 150 guests while paying homage to the Victorian era with wood paneling, etched glass, oak and brass railings, cast iron staircases and marble-topped tables. Both boats have observation decks where guests can take a break from dinner and dancing.

Discounts are available for early-week parties and on-site parking is always complimentary. The Bahia is offering 15 percent off for events on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Call the catering department at 858-539-7720 or visit www.bahiahotel.com for details.

All 314 rooms at the tropical-themed resort have their own private balcony or patio, with bayront rooms and suites letting you step right onto the resort’s expansive private beach. The resort has a heated outdoor Olympic-size pool and Jacuzzi, fitness center, two lighted tennis courts, and shuffleboard courts. The Bahia never charges resort fees, while in-room Wi-Fi and parking are both free of charge. Room packages built around SeaWorld, the Zoo, and leisurely and extreme watersports are also available -- perfect for both out-of-town visitors and locals looking for a staycation.
