Alan K. Brubaker '76 to receive distinguished alumni award

Alan K. Brubaker, class of 1976, will receive the 2004 Distinguished Alumni Award at the awards luncheon on Nov. 23. The annual Distinguished Alumni Award is USD's Law Alumni Association Board of Directors' highest honor.

Brubaker's contributions to the San Diego legal community are extensive. A partner with the San Diego firm Wingert, Grebing, Brubaker & Goodwin LLP, he is a former president of the San Diego County Barristers Club, served as a vice president of the San Diego County Bar Association, and has served on the board of the San Diego County Bar Foundation.

Since 1996, Brubaker has been an arbitrator and judge pro tem of the San Diego Superior Court, and has served as a member of the faculty of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and the San Diego Inns of Court. He currently serves on the Board of Visitors and is a former president of the Law Alumni Association of the University of San Diego School of Law.

Brubaker is also a past member of the board of the San Diego County Bar Association Lawyer Referral and Information Service.
