ABA Foundation Scholarship Program

The Asian Business Association Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was established to promote education and support the development of future community and business leaders in San Diego.

Scholarships are awarded yearly to three students who will attend accredited institutions of higher learning (community college, university, trade school, etc.). Applicants must complete a personal narrative, have a minimum 3.0 grade point average, submit three letters of reference (at least one to be from a counselor or teacher), reside in San Diego County and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

This year the Asian Business Association will be holding a live auction at their 14th Annual Awards Gala Celebration, with 100 percent of proceeds supporting the scholarship fund of the ABA Foundation.

The ABA scholarship program and selection process is administered by an entirely volunteer network. The ABA wishes to extend thanks to our volunteers as well as the 2004 panel of judges:

* Councilman Brian Maienschein, District 5, City of San Diego

* Chi Tran, Community Relations Officer, Citibank of San Diego County

* Dr. Paula Kelly, Director of Development, University of San Diego School of Education
