California Coast Credit Union recently named Kevin L.E. Landel as its new vice president of technology.
Landel will be responsible for integrating, updating and leapfrogging existing systems as a means of modernizing the credit union's technologies to better reach, support and educate members.
"My role will be to plan and guide changes to the credit union's underlying technologies that will change the way it does business in the 21st century," Landel explained. "Ultimately, these changes will make California Coast Credit Union stronger and more secure, financially and technologically, which will further differentiate us from other financial institutions. It's all about bringing added value to our members."
Landel is a recognized expert in media technologies and system design and has instructed and consulted for a number of foreign and domestic institutions, including the University of California, MIT and the Scripps Research Institute.
