In celebrating its 30th anniversary and the redevelopment explosion happening in downtown San Diego, CCDC would like to recognize three women who historically have led and continue to lead the charge. From Horton Plaza to PETCO Park to the new Main Library, these dynamic women have helped change the face of downtown.

CCDC is committed to removing physical, social and economic blight, and replacing it with housing, jobs and infrastructure. Downtown has realized more than $5 billion in private and public investment, creating more than 50,000 jobs, 8,000 hotel rooms, 6 million square feet of commercial space and more than 10,000 new homes. These impressive gains resulted from strong leadership and a well-crafted strategy that catalyzed the renaissance.

CCDC’s board and staff are passionate about downtown’s redevelopment and take great pride in helping San Diego achieve its potential as a vital regional center for commerce and culture. Downtown’s future is playing out today, as projects such as the Park-to-Bay link and the North Embarcadero Visionary Plan create civic anchors that improve neighborhoods. With the help of residents, businesses and community groups, CCDC continues to build a solid foundation that will allow downtown to prosper well into the future.

From all the CCDC staff we say WAY TO GO! to Pam, Donna and Janice for a combined half-century of outstanding leadership and examples of Equal Opportunity at work. The best is yet to come.
