Ink is in their blood. Neyenesch Printers, one of San Diego’s most wellknown, high quality printers, is owned by Carol Neyenesch Bentley, CEO, her cousin Clifford Neyenesch, Chairman and his wife Kandy Neyenesch, CFO.
In 1899, Carol and Cliff ’s grandfather, William Barrend Neyenesch, came to San Diego to work as the lead printer at the Hotel del Coronado. By 1911, he had begun his own printing company.
Carol joined the company full time in 1983 and grew from an inside sales position, credit manager and small press department manger to vice president and then to vice president of sales and marketing. Named CEO in 1998, she supervises daily operations with an emphasis on sales, sales projections and marketing and serves on the company’s board of directors.
Within the community, Carol is a Sergeant in the Honorary Deputy Sheriff ’s Association, a board member and past chair of the San Diego Employers Association and member and past president of the Executives’ Association of San Diego.
Kandy Neyenesch supervises all financial operations. Her responsibilities include finance, accounting, cash management, human resources, business insurance and risk management. She joined the company 24 years ago as an accounting clerk and rose to credit manager and assistant controller before assuming the role of Chief Financial Officer. Kandy is also a member of the Neyenesch board of directors.
Kandy is a past member of the San Diego Wholesale Credit Association and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of San Diego.
Clifford Neyenesch is chairman of the board. He also oversees customer service, estimating and job planning, paper purchases, press scheduling and outside suppliers.
Neyenesch Printers, in its 105th year of business, is dedicated to their customers and the community. Their Quality Management System is registered to the ISO 9001 standard and, in 2004, Neyenesch Printers received the San Diego Business Journal family-owned business of the year award.
