Case Group Architects celebrates 10 years, plans for continued success

Related Special Reports

This year, Solana Beach-based Case Group Architects Inc. is celebrating 10 years serving the Southern California building industry. Rather than hosting a party for clients or resting on past laurels, the firm is throwing its celebratory energy into continued self-improvement - a telltale characteristic of the success that bodes well for the company's next decade as an industry leader.

Larry Case (bottom right) and his group celebrate 10 years in Southern California.

Outlining the facets of Case Group's winning combination, president and founder Larry Case cites "a well-established reputation for excellence, a diversely talented and experienced team, a flexible and dynamic approach to client service and an eye to the future" as the company's driving principles.

"I've worked with Larry Case for nearly my entire career," said Bill Davidson of Davidson Communities. "He's honest and straightforward, and an excellent architect. He's also a good psychiatrist - that's the unwritten part. He understands his client's needs, and that ability has been important for all our projects, and important for me personally as well. Larry is a good friend, and he's always been there for me."

Case's formula has served him well throughout his 30-year industry career, allowed him to open his own shop in 1995 and helped him weather the growing pains of a young business. Now 15 employees strong, Case Group maintains long-standing partnerships with some of Southern California's most honored and respected homebuilders. The firm's collection of industry awards includes recognition from such prestigious associations as the Building Industry Association of San Diego, MIRM and National Association of Home Builders.

"Case Group Architects has consistently provided design and planning services of the highest caliber," said Steve Doyle, president of Brookfield San Diego Builders Inc. "We congratulate them as they pass this milestone, and look forward to continuing our longstanding business partnership."

Case has strategically positioned his company to continue its role as an industry leader in the coming years. Recently instituted at Case Group is ArchiCAD, a three-dimensional BIM (Building Information Modeling) CAD program used by just 10 percent of today's architecture firms but regarded by many as the "wave of the future" in architectural design.

In addition, the firm has expanded its breadth and depth over the years, adding projects in Riverside and Imperial counties as well as recruiting and honing talent in the areas of urban infill, mixed-use, environmentally sustainable and senior housing design. Guided by Case, the Case Group leadership team of senior associates Todd Brazzon, Graham Haines, Caroline Loisos and Tom Dailey blend diverse design backgrounds and an interchangeable service approach for a comprehensive resource of skills and experience.

One of Case Group's recent projects, Rancho Santa Fe Village, opened its doors in San Marcos last month. Combining a low-income senior housing community with a retail component incorporating solar-powered energy on a formerly empty lot along Rancho Santa Fe Road, Rancho Santa Fe Village has been described as a "pioneer project" that establishes the character of the community as the new urban corridor continues its revitalization. Like its projects, Case Group Architects will undoubtedly continue to grow and challenge the limits and character of architecture - to the benefit of Southern California residents and business community.

Case Group specializes in single-family and multifamily projects from production communities to high-end custom homes, as well as urban infill and mixed-use design. The company also provides architecture and planning services for limited income and age-restricted specialty projects. For more information, call (858) 792-4929.
