Ron Beck, CCIM Vice President Investment Specialist Coldwell Banker Commercial Towne Centre
Ronald A. Beck, an industrial and office marketing specialist, has over 15 years of experience in the Southern California real estate market.
He recently joined Coldwell Banker Commercial Towne Centre after a seven-year tenure at Colliers International where he was a senior member of the Industrial & Office Division. Ron also holds a CCIM designation -- something he has in common with only 6 percent of all commercial real estate practitioners.
Over the past years, Beck has leased over 1 million square feet, with a total lease consideration of $110 million. He has also been involved in the sales of land and buildings in excess of $250 million during the same period.
Beck has leased and sold projects for clients, including Hundai Electronics, Fuji Bank, Monarch Insurance, Scientific Atlanta, Mutual of New York, TransAmerica, and Bank of America.
Additionally, he has worked with local developers such as Trammel Crow, Koll Real Estate Companies, Wohl Property Group, McMillin Companies, Warmington Homes, Capital Finance Group, and Mark II Properties.
Tenants he has worked with include Tuv Rheinland, Philips Electronics, IVAC, Health Examinetics, Kaiser Permanente, McDonald Douglas, Hewlett Packard, Brunswick, PacTel, US Medical, Block Medical, Foodmaker, and Moore Business Forms.
Beck also has extensive experience working on relocation assignments from offices outside of Southern California. He has been selected to manage the site selection and disposition of corporate assets for companies such as Philips Electronics and Hyundai. These responsibilities included coordinating the site selection, part of a nationwide selection, preparing and overseeing marketing efforts.
He is a Board Member of the Carmel Mountain Ranch Master Homeowner's Association, a Committee Member of the Carmel Mountain Ranch Planning Group and is also a Board Member of the San Diego Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
Thomas K. Olson, Senior Vice President, Principal Coldwell Banker Commercial Towne Centre
Thomas K. Olson joined Coldwell Banker Commercial Towne Centre in October 2002 as a founding partner and principal.
As a senior vice president and principal, he is responsible for advising and assisting institutional and private investors with the development and implementation of strategies for the acquisition, leasing, value enhancement and disposition of investment grade real estate throughout the United States.
Olson has extensive experience working with the legal community on the disposition of real estate under receivership and in bankruptcy.
Olson began his commercial real estate career in 1974 and has closed well over 1,200 commercial real estate leasing and investment sales transactions with a total consideration exceeding $500 million.
Previously, he was a senior vice president and senior marketing consultant with the San Diego office of Grubb & Ellis. He was recognized as the Grubb & Ellis "Salesman of the Year" on three occasions and as the "Office Building Salesman of the Year" on four separate occasions.
As president of Moore Commercial Real Estate Services, a full service "boutique" real estate operating and development company, Olson oversaw and had primary responsibility for all development, leasing and sale brokerage activities, property management and partnership management activities.
Most recently, Olson worked with Wilson Thorn Properties based in San Diego and personally executed and managed the disposition of nearly $350 million in office, medical office, industrial and retail properties.
Local clients include among others, the M. Larry Lawrence Trust, the Fletcher Family, and the Ray & Joan Kroc Trust. National clients include among others, TIAA CREF, Credit Suisse First Boston, and Pacific Life Insurance.
Olson is active in the National Association of Industrial Office Parks (NAIOP), Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
