San Diego-based Skylight Healthcare Systems reported Tuesday new contract agreements to install its Access Interactive Patient System at nearly a dozen leading hospitals across the nation.
Skylight's Access Interactive Patient System transforms hospital television sets into multimedia experiences for patients. The system enables a customized hospital room communication, education and entertainment platform designed to greatly enhance patient and staff satisfaction at hospitals. Core product applications specifically facilitate continuous access to key hospital information, health education on demand, automated room comfort service requests, real-time patient surveying and more.
A messaging service also allows specific hospital content, such as welcome messages, patient safety videos and informed consent information, to be automatically delivered to patient room televisions. Available digital entertainment provides on demand movies, cable TV, music, Internet, e-mail and games. Integration with dietary and other hospital service providers, as well as optional high-speed Internet portals, are also available.
