Put the power of energy savings to work

The San Diego Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) will host "Put the Power of Energy Savings to Work," the seminar featuring a panel of industry experts.

The panel consists of Don Wiggins, implementation manager for San Diego Gas & Electric; Brenna S. Walraven, RPA, CPA, executive director of USAA Realty Co.; Wally McGuire, director of the state of California's "Flex Your Power" campaign and Paul Blevins, chief financial officer of OnSite Energy.

The seminar, sponsored by Brickman and San Diego Gas & Electric, is scheduled for Tuesday, April 11 at the La Jolla Marriott, located at 4240 La Jolla Village Drive. The seminar begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 11:30 a.m. It is free for BOMA members and $25 for non-members.

District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis to speak at BOMA luncheon

BOMA San Diego will feature guest speaker Bonnie Dumanis, San Diego District Attorney at the organization's April membership meeting.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 11, at the La Jolla Marriott, located at 4240 La Jolla Village Drive. The cost is $40 for members with advance registration, $50 for first time non-members and $80 for returning non-members. At the door, the cost is $50 for members and $60 for first time non-members. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at noon.

Bestselling author Malcolm Gladwell to "Blink" at BOMA

Malcolm Gladwell -- bestselling author, journalist and thought-leader -- will present his cutting-edge ideas and concepts to participants of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International North American Commercial Real Estate Congress at the Dallas Convention Center.

Gladwell will keynote BOMA's Opening General Session on Sunday, June 25.

Gladwell, a staff writer for the New Yorker magazine, launched his second career as a visionary author with his first New York Times #1 bestseller, "The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference."
