McMillin Commercial announced Friday that construction has reached the 50 percent mark for The Shops at San Miguel Ranch, a 10-acre neighborhood commercial center in Chula Vista.
According to Ann Cleator, vice president and project manager of McMillin Commercial, tenants will begin build-out improvements in October.
Construction reaches halfway point
Poised high on the southeast corner of Proctor Valley Road and Mt. Miguel Road, The Shops at San Miguel Ranch will offer residents a place to enjoy dining, shopping, and other services.
Eighty percent of the shopping center already committed to tenants, according to Rob Ippolito of Burnham Retail Advisors.Shop leases signed to date include: Villa Capri, USA Federal Credit Union, Beasley’s Cleaners, Prestige Nails, First Bank, Postnet, Starbucks, Carvel Ice Cream and Los Primos Mexican restaurant.
Designed by Benson and Bohl Architects, the Mediterranean-style shopping center includes approximately 103,000 square feet of retail space.Anchored by a 52,000-square-foot Albertsons, the remaining 51,000 square feet of retail space will be housed in six wood-framed buildings surrounding a central plaza.
