SAN DIEGO -- Charles Schwab & Co. Inc. is the first tenant to lease at the new $40 million Pinnacle Executive Centre in Rancho Bernardo. The financial services firm signed a five-year lease for 5,207 square feet of corporate office space. Via Frontera Inc., with Chris Coseo as president, is the lessor and project developer.
Gary Williams and Elena Amble of Colliers International represented the lessor. Russ Sande and Rich Porreco of The Sande Co. represented the lessee.
Charles Schwab & Co. Inc. (Schwab) is the brokerage subsidiary of The Charles Schwab Corp., a Fortune 500 financial services firm. Schwab's Rancho Bernardo branch, one of six San Diego area locations, will relocate to the new Pinnacle Executive Centre.
"With the opening of Highway 56, the unprecedented residential construction west of Interstate-15, and the completion of a number of surface streets connecting the two freeways, it now makes sense to move west and tap into that emerging market. This new location will enable us to provide a higher level of service and convenience to our clients as well as to the Rancho Bernardo community at large," said Randy Schechter, vice president and branch manager for Schwab.
"This is a great start for the project," said Coseo, the project developer. "We look forward to building on this leasing momentum."
Pinnacle Executive Centre is on track for completion in March of 2007. The five-story, 108,844-square-foot, Class A office building is located at 10920 Via Frontera in San Diego.
Located on a naturally elevated site, Pinnacle Executive Centre offers panoramic views and is designed to accommodate a variety of suites from 1,000 rentable square feet to full floors. The project features a two-story lobby, high-tech security, underground parking, and granite and mahogany common area finishes.
Leasing is being handled by Williams and Amble in the Carlsbad office of Colliers International.
Project architect is Leary Childs Mascari Warner Architects. Bycor General Contractors provided preconstruction services throughout the design phase, led by Steve Smidt. Bycor's construction team includes Wayne Brunton and Rich Steeber. City National Bank, under the direction of Edward Crew, is providing construction financing.
Coseo has owned or developed numerous commercial projects in the San Diego area including Santee Town Center, Fountain Plaza Office Park, Plaza Sorrento and International Business Park, as well as the Red Hawk Industrial Park and Pacific Plaza Office Park in Temecula.
