Related Special Reports

Johnson & Jennings General Contracting has tenant improvement construction under way for the expansion of the law offices of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in the Carmel Corporate Center in the Del Mar Heights area of San Diego.

The $500,000 expansion, slated for completion in late July, will add 7,500 square feet to the firm's current facilities. The scope of work includes renovation of the existing space to include new offices and administrative areas that feature clerestory window details and full-height stained doors. The expansion also entails remodeling of the kitchen and copy areas, as well as existing network room upgrades.

Patrick Willette is project manager for Johnson & Jennings, with Matt Ramos as onsite superintendent. Karen Koenig of Studio Architecture, a San Francisco-based firm, is providing architectural design.

Subcontractors include Casper Company, Woodworks West, American Insulation, McBride Doors & Hardware, Caldwell Glass, Interior Specialties, B&B Acoustics, Howard's Rug Co., Quality Painting & Wallcoverings, Schmidt Fire Protection, Cass Plumbing & Heating, ICS, Dynalectric and Blue Horizons.

In late 2004, Johnson & Jennings completed a $1.2 million office renovation for the law firm at 12235 El Camino Real. The work included the new build-out of the 20,150-square-foot office.
