The Tenant Improvement Department for Alpha Mechanical Service & Engineering is busy these days providing its TI services throughout the county. The department is headed up by Pete Avila and Mark Craumer, a dynamic duo with over 50 years in combined experience. Together, they have assembled a team that is second-to-none, including some notable backup consisting of Scott Swearingen, Sterling Moffett, Paul Latimer and Edgar Cedjudo.
The field crew, under Avila and Craumer, "does a fantastic job," according to their clients; "and is making their mark on San Diego with notable projects like the Historic Keating Hotel renovation in the Gaslamp District; the Irvine project located on Pacific Heights Boulevard; and the Brandywine Realty Trust project in Carlsbad." Costs per project were as follows: almost $500,000; $250,000; and over $500,000, respectively.
"This department's meticulous attention to detail is the fact that we know our clients want it done right the first time," says Avila. "Alpha Mechanical Service & Engineering was the right company for me because they are interested in building long-term quality relationships that are based on trust. All design/build contractors should think about giving this amazing group a try."
In the warm months ahead, many buildings' air conditioning systems are the largest portion of their utility costs; however, some of the new technology can cut your monthly costs from 30 percent to 50 percent by saving on consumption as well as saving the earth.
The technology is an oil-free compressor that reduces friction, making it a much quieter machine that results in less kilowatt (kW) per hour consumption and lower maintenance costs. By reducing the kW consumption and eliminating the oil, you can have one of the best green building technologies to come around in a long time.
