Otay Ranch creates 'small town experience' with great amenities in pedestrian-friendly setting

Otay Ranch's rich array of close-to-home amenities in a pedestrian-friendly setting has made it a popular South County address and gained it national attention for its smart planning. The community's pedestrian-friendly villages are crisscrossed with walking and biking trails that lead to more than 30 acres of parks, playgrounds and private swim clubs, as well as schools, restaurants and plenty of nearby shopping.

With its wide variety of housing choices in many sizes and price ranges, Otay Ranch is suitable for singles and families throughout their life stages. Homes that range from less than 1,000 square feet to more than 3,000 square feet are currently available in the residential areas of Hillsborough and Montecito Ridge.

The French Country-inspired village of Hillsborough currently offers two beautiful attached neighborhoods, both priced from the low-$300,000s. Monet by Pacific Coast Communities currently leads all South County neighborhoods in sales this year. The villa-style neighborhood features three floorplans ranging from 1,000 to 1,368 square feet with two to three bedrooms, up to 2 1/2 baths, and one- to two-car garages.

Heritage Towne Center, with its eclectic architecture and neighborhood shops, is one of many amenities in Otay Ranch that contribute to the community's pedestrian-friendly ambiance.

Terraza is priced from the mid-$500,000s and features three beautifully decorated models.

Santa Barbara, a neighborhood of 96 single-family homes by Pacific Coast Communities, features three plans ranging from 2,825 to 3,232 square feet with up to six bedrooms. Priced from the low-$700,000s, each home features a private guest residence with a separate entrance.

Oakwood Development's Monte Sereno includes 95 single-family homes, priced from the low-$700,000s. Monte Sereno's three floorplans range from 2,978 to 3,108 square feet and feature four or five bedrooms, plus a large studio suite with a living area, an enclosed bedroom, a bath, a full-kitchen and a separate entry.
