The recent opening of the 2.4-mile San Elijo Road/Twin Oaks Valley Road extension hasn't affected San Elijo Hills' small-town ambiance, but it has been a huge boon to residents, by creating a shortcut to downtown San Marcos, Cal State University San Marcos and the 19 restaurants in Old California Restaurant Row.
"As The Fountain (the community's independent monthly newspaper) reported, the road extension has given residents access to 40 places in four minutes," said Halé Richardson, director of marketing and communications for San Elijo Hills. "The new road also provides easy access to San Elijo Hills for firefighters and sheriff's deputies," she said.
The new road bisects San Elijo Hills' town center, where a new Albertsons supermarket with an in-house Sav-On Pharmacy is expected to open next year. When complete, the town center is designed to provide just about everything residents need on a daily basis -- schools and recreation, shopping, restaurants and community services. The town center already features an elementary school, a middle school, urban-style residences and the 19-acre San Elijo Hills Park and community center.
The community currently features four neighborhoods by well-respected homebuilders that showcase imaginative architecture and innovative amenities. Homes are priced from the $600,000s to more than $2 million.
California Cove is now celebrating the opening of six models at Symphony and Masterpiece, located on one of the highest points in San Elijo Hills. These gated neighborhoods offer panoramic ocean views that stretch from Orange County to Mexico.
Masterpiece features estate-size homes ranging from 4,993 to 6,007 square feet with four to five bedrooms and 4.5 to 6.5 baths. Prices start in the $1.9 million range.
Symphony features two-story homes with 4,194 to 5,025 square feet, four to five bedrooms and 4.5 to 5.5 baths. Symphony homes start in the $1.5 million range.
