Construction is complete for the Pacific Cornerstone Architects-designed Spectrum Corporate Plaza, located on Lightwave Avenue in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego.
Fowler Property Acquisitions LLC, is the developer of the $14.6 million project.
"We chose Pacific Cornerstone Architects because they have a long track record of designing successful developments that are attractive, extremely functional and most of all, tenant sensitive," said a representative of Fowler Property Acquisitions, LLC.
Situated on 6.4 acres, Spectrum Corporate Plaza is a 130,000-square-foot corporate office campus comprised of one three-story, 82,000-square-foot building, and one two-story, 48,000-square-foot building.
Spectrum Corporate Plaza will provide future tenants with corporate identity, convenient freeway access, a strong and diverse surrounding labor pool, and neighboring amenities including restaurants and the Toby Wells YMCA. Tenants also will have a relatively low lease rate.
"Fowler Property Acquisitions, LLC, purchased the land when it was much less expensive," said CBRE first vice president Brad Black. "Therefore, we are able to offer lease rates at Spectrum Corporate Plaza that are much lower than those at other new developments in central San Diego."
Tim Schulze served as principal-in-charge for Pacific Cornerstone Architects, with Jim Darby as project manager.
Lyons Warren served as structural engineer, Kimley Horn as civil engineer, Michael Wall Engineering as electrical engineer and Walsh Engineers as mechanical engineer.
Architectural Landscapes served as landscape architect. Brad Black and Dennis Hacker of CB Richard Ellis (NYSE: CBG) provided marketing services for the development.
Staples Construction was the general contractor, with Tracy Kistler serving as director of construction and Gunnar Wagge as superintendent.
