Four model homes and a sales and information center have opened at Bosa Development’s Electra residential tower, located in downtown San Diego
Three two-bedroom models and one penthouse are currently available for viewing and the new sales office is located in a three-floor townhome. Prices range from $549,000 for a two-bedroom unit to $2.4 million for a penthouse.
According to Bosa, sales at Electra had been strong prior to the opening of the model homes with 60 homes remaining. Units will have hardwood flooring in a variety of finishes, full-height windows with roller shade window coverings and a balcony.
The 43-story Electra tower includes 248 residential units above three floors of underground parking and offers views of the San Diego skyline.
The tower will have a first-floor social lounge that will boast 60-foot ceilings and be topped by an illuminating skylight with multiple seating areas, fireplace, flat-screen television and full catering-level kitchen.
Additionally, the fifth floor will include an exercise facility and sun deck with sauna and steam room, rooftop lap pool, barbecue area with fireplace and landscaped courtyard designed as an oasis.
Originally constructed to house the boilers and turbines for Spreckels’ San Diego Electrical Railway Co. in 1921, San Diego Gas & Electric purchased the property and expanded the facility to provide for the city's increasing energy needs. In 2003, Bosa took over the site and construction began on Electra in August 2004.
