Ledcor close to completing medical office building near Grossmont Hospital

Ledcor Construction Inc. is nearing completion for a new five-story, 66,000-square-foot medical office building located on the Grossmont Hospital Campus in La Mesa.

Ledcor Construction is providing full construction services for the $9.6 million project. Director of Architecture Paul Przybysz provided oversight on behalf of the owner, Pacific Medical Buildings.

The structure is composed of a steel frame with stucco exterior, and includes two machine room-less elevators, five built-out lobbies, a trash enclosure and a solar crosswalk.

The building is situated against the side of a hill and beside a seven-story parking structure, which is currently under construction by Ledcor Construction.

Andy Kirby is serving as project manager for Ledcor Construction, with Doug Zieman as superintendent, Scott Ludwig as project engineer and Marc Zieman as assistant superintendent.

Project consultants include HDR as architect, Rand Engineering as sitework contractor, TMAD Taylor and Gaines as structural and mechanical engineer, BDS Engineering, Inc. as civil engineer and Tanner Engineering as electrical engineer. KTU+A is serving as landscape architect.
