As executive vice president, Channey L. Doud is responsible for the company's day-to-day operations and leads all aspects of the construction, service and systems groups for Dynalectric Co., a leading provider of complex, fully integrated design-build electrical services throughout the San Diego region.
Doud joined Dynalectric in 1995 as a project superintendent and over the years has served as a project manager and most recently, project executive. Doud, who was named executive vice president in June, has supervised dozens of Dynalectric's signature projects, including the Hard Rock Hotel; Grand Del Mar Hotel; DiamondView Tower; House of Blues; Manchester Grand Hyatt; SDSU Student Health Services; El Cortez Renovation; SeaWorld; COLO.com facilities in San Diego, Los Angeles and Orange County; and the new San Diego Convention Center Hilton Hotel, currently under construction.
A licensed California contractor, Doud holds B1 General Building and C10 classifications and brings 25 years of construction experience to the new role.
Under Doud's leadership, Dynalectric recently has emphasized involvement in a number of green and LEED-certified projects. The company has partnered with Borrego Solar Systems Inc. on four local solar electricity projects, handling the electrical contracting work for the University of California, San Diego's Solar Grove project; two buildings on the Qualcomm campus; the Stone Brewery in Escondido; and the Hunters Pointe Apartments in Carlsbad.
