Renovations completed at Sorrento Towers North

Prevost Construction recently completed $2 million worth of renovations for multiple tenants in Sorrento Towers North, half of the 279,476-square-foot, two-tower complex at 5355 and 5375 Mira Sorrento Place in the Sorrento Mesa area of San Diego (92121).

Since being named the tenant improvement contractor for Sorrento Towers North in 1989, Prevost Construction has sustained through five different ownership changes.

The building's current owner, Equity Office, awarded the company the recent renovation projects.

Prevost's recent tenant improvements at Sorrento Towers North included interior renovations on several tenant suites as well as new common area upgrades.

Tenant suites that were renovated include JGD & Associates (8,001 square feet), Pointivity (8,763 square feet), Optimer Pharmaceuticals (7,663 square feet) Akami Technologies (12,475 square feet), Sparling (4,160 square feet) and Elektrobit (6,002 square feet).

Common areas now feature mail lobby entries to both buildings with natural stone and carpet, herculite glass entries, new ceiling soffits and lighting, new security desks, stainless steel cladding of the elevator surrounds and marble wall accents.

Steve George and Dan Dreesen were the project managers for Prevost and Steve Thompson and Joe Ruiz were the superintendents.

Gensler Architects provided the lobby area design, and tenant spaces were designed by Roberts and Bennett Commercial Interior Design.
