Developer Jay Paul Company announced that construction of a new Class A office tower at Summit Rancho Bernardo has been completed at 16620 West Bernardo Drive. The five-story, 196,742 square foot office building is designed to earn LEED Core and Shell Gold certification. The designer was DES Architects, with Rudolph and Sletten serving as general contractor.

Chris Pascale and Brent Wright of CB Richard Ellis (NYSE: CBG) are the exclusive leasing agents for Summit Rancho Bernardo. Large firms have toured the new building but no companies have signed a lease, according to Pascale. "We are living in a tenant's market." The new office tower is part of a 105-acre site that also includes four existing buildings totaling approximately 730,000 square feet. The existing buildings were the former headquarters of NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) and Sony North America.

The existing buildings are being refurbished and offered for lease by Jay Paul Company. Software engineering firm LionBridge Technologies recently signed a lease for 44,000 square feet of manufacturing/warehouse space at Summit Rancho Bernardo Building 5 and Sony occupies a 230,000 square foot manufacturing building located at the northwest corner of the property.
