Riverside County Manufacturers and Exporters Association South West Cluster up and running

Related Special Reports

Recently the Riverside County Manufacturers and Exporters Association approved the formation of a South West Cluster as a local outreach to support the various manufacturers and exporters in the southwest region of the county.

The new cluster is intended to serve and support all manufacturers and exporters in Murrieta, Temecula, Lake Elsinore, Perris, Hemet, and all other cities of greater Southwest Riverside County. This is a combined outreach of the economic development sections of the involved cities, the various local Chambers of Commerce, Roy Paulson of Paulson Manufacturing and Joe Mignone of JFM Global Associates.

This has been the result of these cities, chambers and companies in the area recognizing the importance of manufacturing to the local economy and the need to grow manufacturing and exporting as a key component for the region's economic development.

The purpose of the cluster is to help identify the needs of manufacturers and exporters, regardless of product, and to link them to the many available tools and opportunities that will help them to be more successful and to encourage the growth in the region.

Joe Mignone, founder and president of JFM Global Associates has been named chairperson of the cluster due to his strong background in manufacturing and related consulting services.

We invite all manufacturers and exporters to attend our monthly meetings to network with other manufacturers and exporters who share some of the same needs. Our meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month from 7 to 9 a.m. at the new Murrieta Chamber of Commerce office located at 25125 Madison Ave., Suite 108, Murrieta 92562. In addition, attendees will have some time to network with other local manufacturers and others in attendance.

Upcoming meeting programs and/or presentations include:

July 9: The Benefits of Technology Transfer to Your Company and Available State Funded Training

August: Regional Agriculture Exporters Summit

September: OSHA and Work Place Safety

October: Manufacturing Month (various events and activities)

November: Building Business Excellence

As the association moves forward, the intent is to create a small planning/thought-leadership group with industry to get input on how the cities, chambers of commerce, manufacturers and exporters can work together on common goals to promote growth in the region.

For additional information regarding our cluster, please contact, Joe Mignone, chairperson, at jfmglobal@yahoo.com, or at 619-807-4763.
