The Riverside County Manufacturers and Exporters Association Southwest Cluster has several events planned in May.
The events are outlined below. Please share this information with other members of your organization is encouraged.
The association's meeting, to be held Tuesday, May 13 from 8 to 10 a.m., will be a plant tour of Pacific Clay Products in Lake Elsinore hosted by Barry Coley, president. We will see how the company's various products are manufactured using the latest technology in the industry.
May 3: APICS Inland Chapter Event -- APICS is sponsoring a "Filling the Gap -- Putting the Spark Back in Manufacturing and Distribution" on Saturday, May 3, from 7:30 to 11 a.m., at the Eagle Glen County Club. Our own Roy Paulson will be one of the guest speakers.
May 4: A Family Fun Event at Mulligan’s Fun Center -- A family fun event will be held at Mulligan's Family Fun Center in Murrieta on Sunday, May 4. This event is open to all members of your company. Therefore, please post the flyer in your work place for all your employees to see. You may want to organize some type of company activity around this event as well. If you require additional information please contact Kara MacRac at Mulligan’s (951-696-9696) and mention RCMEA. Attendees will receive a special all day rate, just mention you are a member of the RCMEA when purchasing your ticket.
May 6: U.S. Navy and UCR Tech Transfer Event -- Join us at Murrieta City Hall to attend an exciting event to learn how to partner with the Navy and UCR on collaborative research and patent licensing. This no-cost event will present how you can optimize public/private partnerships for technology transfer, innovation, and economic development. Some of the guest speakers will be traveling from Washington, D.C. to share information with you.
May 13: Plant Tour -- Pacific Clay Products (see above)
May 15: 20th Annual Inland Empire World Trade Conference -- This is our Region’s premier conference for manufacturers seeking to expand their business internationally. This year’s conference is designed to focus on the redefinition of the resources available to local businesses for export. It aims is to provide you with a relevant path into understanding international trade in today’s economic market through a three-hour panel discussion from executives in banking, legal, logistics, and government.
