Attorneys Martin Bader and Inge Larish have joined Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton as special counsel in the firm's intellectual property practice group in San Diego.
Bader previously practiced at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker in San Diego while Larish comes over from Seattle's Seed Intellectual Property Law Group.
The move reunites Bader with former Paul Hastings partner Steve Korniczky, who joined Sheppard Mullin in September as co-chair of its IP practice group.
Bader and Larish focus on all aspects of intellectual property law, particularly patent litigation and prosecution, trademark litigation and prosecution and client counseling.
They also have extensive experience conducting IP due diligence for corporate transactions, representing technology companies in the enforcement and procurement of intellectual property rights as well as counseling clients with regard to infringement and validity of third-party patents and trademarks.
Bader received a J.D. from University of San Diego in 2002 (magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, San Diego Law Review) and a B.S. in electrical engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1999.
Larish received a J.D. from University of Illinois College of Law, Urbana-Champaign in 1994 (magna cum laude), an M.A. in engineering psychology from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1991, and a B.S. from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1988.
