SDSU sets up 'entrepreneurial village'

Related Special Reports

Thousands of students, alumni and community members will walk through the "entrepreneurial village,” featuring more than 50 businesses, during San Diego State University’s Entrepreneur Day on March 13.

Entrepreneur Day is hosted by the Entrepreneur Society at San Diego State University, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurial Management Center.

The entrepreneurial village will be set up on Campanile walkway on 5500 Campanile Drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13.

Participating businesses will be working to promote their companies and sell products. Last year, alum companies like Volcom, Rubio's, Costco, Wahoo's, Soccer Fanatic and FitnessQuest 10 were side-by-side with student-run businesses like iPoncho, Deuce Brand Fashion Sports Watches and Padern Collective Experience.

Students were drawn into the "Ask the Entrepreneur" and "Meet the Entrepreneur" tents where the founders of these and other brands answered questions and gave words of wisdom to young entrepreneurs.

To sign up for Entrepreneur Day, contact Adrienne White at awhite@emc.sdsu.edu or call 619-594-2162.
