The San Diego CITD hosted a meeting with a delegation of women entrepreneurs from Bangladesh, Burma, and India interested in learning about the various business development programs available for small businesses in the U.S.
The delegation was invited to the United States under the auspices of the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program. The IVLP is the Department of State's premier professional exchange program. Through short-term visits to the United States, current and emerging foreign leaders in a variety of fields experience the United States firsthand and cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts. Professional meetings reflect the participants' professional interests and support the foreign policy goals of the United States.
During the meeting, San Diego CITD Director, Victor Castillo, presented an overview of the CITD initiative and its various programs and services designed to assist small and medium-sized enterprises with expanding through international trade.
