Health care -- its rising costs and economic impact -- is one of today’s hottest topics. It’s an arena in which Dynalectric is a leading player. The company has newly constructed, renovated and expanded various projects throughout the region for health care clients, ranging from established hospitals to medical office buildings and state-of-the-art outpatient facilities.
Dynalectric’s extensive industry experience and broad array of proven full-lifecycle solutions make it a solid choice to help healthcare providers address their various complex challenges. Backed by substantial financial resources and an outstanding safety record, the company’s services extend from low-voltage and high-voltage design and construction through maintenance and service. ISO 9001-certified for quality, the company also offers expert fabrication.
Dynalectric’s range of capabilities was in ample evidence at the UCSD Thornton Hospital Cardiovascular Center, where the company demonstrated it can deliver projects fast without sacrificing quality. This recently completed project is a 127,000 square foot, four-story stand alone hospital.
The facility consists of three operating rooms, one hybrid operating room, three catheterization laboratories, two floors of patient beds, a digital radiology center, CT room, emergency room, triage and administrative offices. The scope of work for Dynalectric included: total electrical, high-voltage systems, tele-data communications, power generation, lighting control and public address. This project required OSHPD approval and full BIM coordination of complex electrical systems. The entire project was completed on time and on budget.
Technological expertise is another Dynalectric strength, which was put to work at the UCSD Moores Cancer Center. This state-of-the-art cancer center is the first in the world to provide all patient care and research within one facility. To meet its needs, Dynalectric delivered a complete electrical solution, including high-voltage, fire alarm/life safety and security/CCTV systems. In addition, the company installed tele-data communications, as well as audio and video networks. To ensure smart system management, the company put in complete building automation and control technologies.
For many healthcare organizations a phased delivery method, which integrates with existing and/or operating facilities, is often a high priority. At Grossmont Hospital, Dynalectric participated in the construction of a five-story hospital complete with emergency and critical care facilities. Due to the hospital’s implementation plan, the lower floors and infrastructure for the upper floors were completed first, allowing patients to start being seen. The second phase was completed while the hospital was already functioning.
This ability to provide expert end-to-end solutions tailored to clients’ unique business and operating requirements has made Dynalectric a leader in designing, building, powering and servicing today’s complex and demanding healthcare facilities.
Founded in 1970, Dynalectric, an EMCOR Company, located in San Diego is a leading full-service electrical contractor serving Southern California.
