Stephanie Strout joins St. Bartholomew's Academy of Music and the Arts

The Academy of Music and the Arts announces the addition of Stephanie Johnson Strout to its staff as a cello instructor.

She has played the cello for more than 22 years, beginning her studies in the Poway Unified School District and continuing at Palomar College in the Applied Music Program.

Strout played in the Civic Youth Orchestra and Palomar Community Orchestra and also played at the Poway Symphony, Poway Symphonette, Mira Costa Community Orchestra and many other chamber and quartet groups. She has been teaching cello for several years and has played with several orchestras, including the John Nettles Orchestra (City Ballet Company).

Strout is a long-time member of St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, where she sings in the Coventry Choir and with the Psalm Singers. She is the mother of two middle school girls who are both involved in music at St. Bartholomew's Church and in the Poway School District.
