Temple Adat Shalom hosts evenings for non-Jewish spouses

Related Special Reports

Temple Adat Shalom Rabbi David Castiglione has invited members of the Congregational Family, with a different faith tradition, to attend gatherings to meet, to share and learn.

The first session on Jan. 30 involved meaningful sharing, support and discussion. Attendance at one, however, is not a prerequisite to attending the others. If you missed the first opportunity, please plan on attending Monday, Feb. 27 and then again on April 16. Both will run from 7-9 p.m.

We'll be talking about being a part of a Jewish home and raising Jewish children; balancing the religious concerns of both sets of grandparents; where your needs fit in; determining whether and how to celebrate non-Jewish holidays in the home; understanding the various Jewish positions on life cycle events and holidays to better inform your decisions, and most importantly, we will be providing an open welcoming environment in which to meet others and share whatever concerns, questions and joys you may have in your very, very special role.

To attend, simply email Fran at the Temple office Fran@adatshalom.com or give a call 858-451-1200. You can also address any questions you may have directly to me at rabbic@adatshalom.com. Come as you are, we'll make sure there is plenty to nosh.
