Poway welcomes the newest partnership between Temple Adat Shalom (TAS) and Pacific Treatment Services (PTS).
Rabbi David Castiglione of TAS recently learned of a call-out from Poway City Councilmember Merrilee Boyack to congregations across the Poway area for help by offering meeting space to PTS to continue their Family Support Groups in the area of teen substance abuse.
"PTS offers support groups around North County and was seeking to grow their meeting centers", said TAS Executive Director Jeffrey Frankel. "Saving lives is a tremendous concept in Jewish learning and to host PTS and see teens and their families coming back together helps our congregation help our greater community."
TAS has offered a meeting room to host an additional Family Support Group beginning March 28.
"The Temple's support of our efforts to establish a group for families from the Poway and Rancho Bernardo area has been amazing", said coordinator Cindy O'Donnell and PTS' Director Will Wooton. "TAS generously offers their site to many other community groups in addition to their own internal programs and we look forward to a long relationship."
Please welcome this newly founded partnership and join both agencies in spreading the word about this new opportunity open to the community. PTS is grateful to TAS for their efforts in meeting the needs of families in the area. This group will meet on Wednesdays beginning March 28 from 6:30-8 p.m.
Temple Adat Shalom is located at 15905 Pomerado Road in Poway across from the Sprouts Market.
