Related Special Reports

Jewish Family Service of San Diego has a new program called Pachie's Place, which is dedicated to empowering parents to be more confident, informed, and connected through education, events, and online resources. If you are a parent of an infant, toddler, or preschooler, this program is for you.

Pachie's Place hosts educational and fun workshops, support groups, and engaging children's activities. Areas of focus include sleep, nutrition and feeding, developmental milestones, selecting and working with a pediatrician, postpartum depression, and returning to work.

Join Pachie's Place for their next event, Growing Healthy Kids: Tips to Get Your Children to Eat a Rainbow of Real Foods, on Aug. 7, 5-7 p.m. at Java Mama in Scripps Ranch. Discover how to incorporate fresh, whole foods into your children's diet in fun and easy ways. Be healthy while making delicious food your family will eat! Childcare will be provided and a light and healthy dinner will be served.

Pachie's Place launched with Baby Boot Camp on June 3 in Encinitas and took new and expecting parents on a tour through the first sleep-deprived days with a baby to acclimating to the new routines, schedules, and habits of the first six months. Attendees shared advice and tips on navigating the wonderful adventure of being a parent.
