Start Halloween week off right with a safe, fun and tasty afternoon of trick-and-treating from the decorated trunks of cars on Sunday, Oct. 28 at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Poway.
The church will close the parking lot at 4:30 p.m. so everyone can collect their treats safely and then at 5 p.m. attendees all help judge the Best, Scariest and Funniest trunk before prizes are handed out. Games will be ongoing to make sure everyone has a great time.
To finish the afternoon, we will also be hosting a chili cook-off with tasting starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Please bring a slow-cooker to share filled with your favorite recipe. Chips and fixings will be provided along with refreshments, and once everyone has had their fill, we'll try and work out who made the best chili.
