USD hosts law and religion debate

The University of San Diego School of Law’s Center for Law & Religion hosts a debate titled “Is Religious Freedom in America at Risk?”

Notre Dame Law Professor Richard Garnett and Northwestern Law Professor Andrew Koppelman will debate issues related to the protection of religious liberties. Topics include legislation imposing mandates that may infringe upon the rights of religious institutions, and recent actions by city governments denying permits to Chick-fil-A because the restaurant’s CEO opposes gay marriage.

The debate is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m.
