Patients and families touched by the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Tri-City Medical Center over its 25 years of service are invited to a reunion and celebration of health on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Families can expect fun with arts and crafts, games, activities and a costume parade for the kids. Health and safety information will be shared, as well as great food.

Former patients are encouraged to submit a photo of their neonatal baby along with a current photo for a presentation to be displayed at the event. Photos may be submitted to nicutcmc@tcmc.com. RSVPs are required and can be submitted online at www.tricitymed.org/nicufest.

"Working with our babies and their families is our greatest reward, and after 25 years, we are sincerely looking forward to reuniting with many of the wonderful children and adults who have come through our doors," said Lisa Diez, R.N., assistant nurse manager of the NICU.

The NICU at Tri-City Medical Center cares for 500 to 600 premature infants each year in its 20-bed nursery, the largest in North County. The NICU opened in 1986, and is the only Level III NICU in North County, providing the highest level of neonatal care and most advanced technology available in the region.
