Following a recent tour by Union Bank of the new Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, the Palomar Health Foundation was presented with a $25,000 donation from the bank, in support of the Palomar Health Foundation’s Building Your Healthcare System of the Future Capital Campaign.
The campaign to which the money will go helps support Palomar Health in North County. Palomar Health Foundation Board members John Forst and John Clark were joined on the tour by Union Bank Senior Vice President and Region Manager Shaun L. Henry, Union Bank Customer Service Manager Kim Young and Union Bank Vice President and Branch Manager Lisa Mednick. Young is also an active Palomar Health Foundation Board member.
“Union Bank is very excited about this contribution and the health benefits that it helps to provide to North County residents,” Young said.
“All corporations like to feel that they are part of the community. Union Bank certainly is and I think today we showed them their money will be well invested,” Forst after helping to lead the tour of the new Palomar Medical Center.
Forst led the tour, and said in a release from Palomar Health that the tour proved to Union Bank that its money will go well-invested.
Palomar Medical Center opened Aug. 19, housing 288 beds through 11 stories and becoming the new flagship hospital of Palomar Health, the largest health care district in California.
