SDSU students at San Diego Electrical Training Center.

NECA welcomes San Diego State University Civil Construction and Environmental Engineering students to their joint San Diego Electrical Industry Training Center.

NECA was approached by Associate Professor Takis Mitropoulos to provide students with an introduction to the basics of electrical systems, which included the study of the key components of different electrical systems in commercial buildings. For the better part of a week, NECA contractors along with instructors from the training center explained the important phases required of the electrical contractor from underground electrical to the finished product. As part of the assignment, students from the Construction Methods class took the opportunity to incorporate new technology in renewable energy using labs in both advanced lighting and photovoltaic systems into their studies.

NECA is pleased to continue to be a resource for those wishing to explore the endless possibilities in a career in electrical contracting.
