NECA contractors honored for commitment to 'green-collar' jobs

The city of San Diego recently honored the contractor members of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA)and the highly skilled work force of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) local 569, for their ongoing commitment in the growth of green jobs.

Their joint training center, the San Diego Electrical Training Center was also recognized by presenter Councilmember Marti Emerald for leading the industry in sustainable energy practices and for its contributions regionally in Advanced Lighting Control, Electrical Vehicle Infrastructure, Photovoltaics and supporting California's green initiatives.
