Solace and the Moonlight Lounge to grace Encinitas

Related Special Reports

There were a lot of names thrown around for Urban Solace's new sister restaurant in Encinitas -- but the one that owners Chef Matt Gordon and General Manager Scott Watkins have decided fits the bill is Solace and the Moonlight Lounge.

The new restaurant from GW Restaurant Group follows the success of Urban Solace, which opened in 2007 and serves New American comfort food in San Diego's North Park community.

Featuring Urban Solace favorites and new coastal dishes, Solace and the Moonlight Lounge is scheduled to open later this year in the growing Main Street Encinitas district off Pacific Coast Highway. Inspired by the ocean and the local Encinitas community, the restaurant will also include a full service bar, dining and entertainment space, featuring a special tasting bar and small plates menu with a selection of raw items.
