Deputy district attorney Garland Peed widened his lead over Ramona attorney Gary Kreep in their race for a San Diego Superior Court judicial seat.
Peed is now ahead of Kreep by 1,093 votes, according to the latest totals released Friday by the San Diego County Registrar of Voters.
Approximately 88,000 absentee votes remain to be counted. The next vote total will be released at 5 p.m. Monday.
Peed currently has 165,360 votes while Kreep has 164,267.
Kreep led the race by 56 votes following Tuesday's voting at the polls, which included some early absentee votes.
