Peters and Roberts pad leads

Dave Roberts continues to pad his lead over Steve Danon in the race for the District 3 Board of Supervisors seat.

The San Diego County Registrar of Voters on Tuesday released additional absentee and provisional ballot counts. After Election Day, the registrar announced that 475,000 absentee and provisional ballots countywide would be counted in the coming days and added to vote tallies. With Tuesday's update, only 210,000 remain.

As of the end of the Tuesday, Roberts, the deputy mayor of Solana Beach, held a lead of 2,688 votes, up from his lead on Monday of 2,641 votes.

Meanwhile, in the race for the 52nd Congressional District seat, Scott Peters, the Democratic Port Commissioner, is also expanding his lead over incumbent Brian Bilbray, with results released Tuesday showing his lead now to be 2,660 votes, up from his lead of 1,899 votes.
