YEP statewide business plan competition

Related Special Reports

The deadline for submissions to our Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) Fall Business Plan Competition recently closed and we received eight full business plans from participants at the high school and college levels. The plans are now being evaluated by our panel of professional business advisors to determine the winners.

Winners of our regional business plan competitions will go on to compete for $5,000 in seed money in a statewide business plan competition, called California BOOST, powered by LivePlan. LivePlan is an online business plan writing application developed by Palo Alto Software, makers of the popular Business Plan Pro software.

Participants of our regional business plan competitions are provided with a free 6-month account on LivePlan, which provides step-by-step guidance on writing each section of a business plan and can be shared with YEP mentors or advisors for helpful feedback.

Our YEP Spring Business Plan Competition is now open and the deadline for submissions is Feb. 28, 2013.
