California Community Colleges Vice Chancellor for Economic and Workforce Development, Van Ton-Quinlivan, recently tweeted about the International Logistics and Transportation Program at Southwestern College being a way that community colleges are helping to support exporting in the state.

The Logistics and Transportation program, developed in collaboration with the San Diego CITD and industry partners, offers several certificate options and an Associate's Degree that helps students develop the skills needed to obtain high-wage jobs in international trade related industry sectors.

The program is also highlighted on the Doing What Matters for Jobs and the Economy website as a way that innovative public/private partnerships are helping to close labor force skills gaps and meeting industry needs.
