CITD participates in Small Business Expo & Forum

Southwestern College's Center for Technical Education and Career Success (CTECS) hosted it's first Small Business Expo and Forum at the college's main campus in Chula Vista.

The event, which was open to the public and promoted to students at the college in business related programs, featured information from small business resource and assistance providers including the Center for International Trade Development and the Small Business Development Center, as well as information on the business programs at a couple of the local universities.

Also as part of the event, a panel of small business experts was invited to share their experience and discuss resources available to help entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses. CITD director, Victor Castillo, gave an international trade perspective, and CITD Business Advisor, Gabriel Reyes, discussed the no-cost business training available through the Youth Entrepreneurship Program, as well as other low and no-cost resources available to entrepreneurs.
