La Vita Compounding Pharmacy blends traditional Western medicine with holistic health, and prepares customized prescriptions unique to each individual, based on a physician’s prescription. La Vita can prepare medications in various dosages and delivery systems, such as transdermal gels, powders, creams, lozenges and more.
Chris Givant, R.Ph., is a compounding pharmacist and co-founder of La Vita Compounding Pharmacy. As a pharmacist, Givant brings her extensive experience in formulating customized medications, as well as her passion and knowledge base in age management medicine. She is a nationally recognized expert and speaker on healthy aging, Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) and prescription-only cosmeceuticals.
As a former lead pharmacist at University Compounding Pharmacy in San Diego, she was responsible for research and development and physician education. She has personally developed hundreds of formulas for some of the nation's leading physicians, and brings this experience to both La Vita's doctors and patients. Givant has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmacy industry, starting as pharmacy manager and then Western Territory Manager for Savon Pharmacies Corporation.
She is a graduate of Iowa State University and Drake University School of Pharmacy. Givant consults for CND, an international beauty company, and sits on the board of UEI College. She is a partner and executive of Dermbiotix LLC, member of The International Academy of Compounding Pharmacies, the Society of Cosmetic Chemists and is Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA)-certified.
Debra Hubers started her career in 1980 after obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree at Minnesota State University, and a Masters of Science degree at the University of Northern Colorado. She has spent more than 22 years in health care finance and technology, where she was a senior executive consultant for superior consultant (ACS-HCS), serving in such capacities as acting CEO, vice president of sales and vice president of business development. She was the president of Imperial Technology Solutions, a division of Imperial Bank (Comerica). ITS provides software that seamlessly integrates credit/ATM card transactions and risk management systems into provider practice management systems.
Hubers established herself as a national speaker on health care market reform, and became a recognized authority on issues including health care payment processing, health care EDI (electronic data interchange), employer group purchasing, provider outcome measurement and health care financial risk management.
Prior to joining Imperial Bank, Hubers founded System One, a subsidiary of Bank One, and served as vice president of sales and marketing. She founded two other businesses: Colorado Health Care Purchasing Alliance and Quadrogy, Inc. She taught at the University of Colorado and at Denver University, and served as a therapist at Colorado State Hospital and Fort Logan Mental Health, which she also co-founded. Hubers is a partner and executive of Dermbiotix LLC, and sits on the advisory board of TGG Accounting.
